All of this has carried me to this point, where I get to work on initiatives that have true purpose and genuine impact. The refreshing and honest discussion about how we - as women - need to be our own advocates to drive gender equity in business was incredibly inspiring.Īs we now look to next year's event, I reflect on the privilege I have as a white woman, as a woman born in the UK and as a woman who has the fortune of great female colleagues such as Becca Williams and Alexandra Neale to support me. Hosted by the wonderful Naga Munchetty, our panelists included Sharmadean Reid MBE Pip Jamieson and serial entrepreneur Jan Fletcher. That was a topic of conversation at this year's panel event - an important part of the Bold Awards, which aims to be more than an accolade but a true community. In a world where women continue to face barriers of all kinds, highlighting and supporting the achievements of women is more important than ever, if we are going to create a world where the next generation have role models who look like them. In its 50th year, the Bold Awards are a true celebration of inspirational, daring and pioneering female leaders. This week, the culmination of months of hard work saw the most successful Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Awards ever, held at the beautiful Royal Opera House.
